In 1981, Mike and Jerry Phelps started Phelps Uniform Specialists with a simple belief: take care of your customers, and the rest will follow.
Today, as we celebrate 45 years as a family-owned business, that philosophy continues to guide everything we do.
We’re grateful for the customers, employees, and communities that have been part of our journey. Reaching 45 years in business is something we’re proud of, but it’s also something we don’t take for granted. It represents decades of trust, hard work, and relationships that have helped shape Phelps into the company it is today.

For us, business has always been about people.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of serving businesses across a wide range of industries through our uniform rental programs and employee uniform services. Some of those customer relationships span decades, and many have trusted Phelps through years of growth and change within their own organizations.
We’ve also been fortunate to build lasting relationships with our employees. Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving customers have played a major role in our success.

Today, Mike continues to work alongside his sons, Luke and Dustin, representing the second generation of family leadership. Together, they are helping guide the company into the future while preserving the principles that built Phelps from the start.
Over the years, we’ve continued to invest in our people, technology, and operations to better serve our customers. As businesses evolve, we remain focused on delivering reliable service and solutions that make managing employee uniforms easier.
